Whats wrong with Windows Live Messenger

I can sign on ok and see that everyone is online, when they change their status or song that they are playing, I see that too. But I was speaking to a few people, all of a sudden it seemed they all stopped replying, so I hovered the mouse over where the icon sits on the bar on the bottom right corner of the screen, and it said "Connection Error", i've restarted the program, and I still can't recieve messages and I have no idea whether my friends can see what I send to them.

Any ideas?

It's happening with a lot of people and as I think with me too. I don't know what the problem is though :S

I'm having this problem. My WLM icon says I'm signed in though.

i cant sign in on WLM and its starting to piss me off.

I have a connection error aswell, but I can sign in...

Funny how i've been trying for the last hour and after i post the above it signs in.

and this is the reason ive stuck to msn messenger 7.5 :D
