It's the time of year for punnishment again... WOSEC's 24 hr online Le Mans race which starts at 3pm GMT tomorrow! As per usual VT Racing will be entering 3 cars, driven by 7 drivers - yes, we're aware we are bonkers :P

As per usual for Le Mans I've put together a little video (not your usual onboard lap) - thanks to Rich and Gav too for turning up to do a bit of driving for it :)

As the video mentions we'll be broadcasting the pit radio like we usuall do on our site (http://racing.vadertrophy.com), and I also believe WOSEC are doing a race commentary which I'll try and post a link too in the morning. All I know about that though is it should be happening on something Skype related - calm down Esben :P

You can either download the video (55.7 Mb) or copy the URL into a media player which should stream it on a 2 Mbps connection.

Enjoy...

Textbook formation driving fellas, till ya threw it off the road at the end! ;)

Who's the kerb hogger in the red car? He's not gonna last 5 hours with that style I reckon. ;-)

And finally, what's the game you're using?

Everyone knows that million-to-one chances happen 9 times out of 10; indeed, it's a common requirement in fairy tales. If the human didn't have to overcome huge odds, what would be the point? Terry Pratchett - The Science Of Discworld

I have one question, how can Gav drive if he'll be in prison? ;)

You think that was me in the video? :O

OK.. there's some evidence in this thread as to who it just might be... ;-)

Anyway... done my final testing for today. I'm starting VTR1 tomorrow afternoon (3pm GMT - we'll probably be broadcasting from around 1-2pm), doing 3 hours before jumping straight into the VTR3 car to relieve Rich for an hour or so. Got an early night, then getting up at around 2:00am for a 2:45am ish 4 and a half hour stint in VTR1. Needless to say, tonight I'm going to have an early night in readiness...

Here's a few small clues Gui. He posted between you and I, his country is currently hammering England in the Cricket (do you know what Cricket is over there Gui?), he'll be celebrating Christmas with a sweat pouring off of their forehead, and I think he likes Elisha Cuthbert.

Oh yeah, and this:

I believe the team radio broadcast is up at [racing.vadertrophy.com], and the WOSEC commentary can apparently be found here -> [skypecasts.skype.com]

(I haven't tested that though :P)

Right. Well. Quick summary.

VTR qualified in 2, 3 and 10th. Other than VTR3 coming through the field, the positions stayed the same for the early laps. Rich in VTR3 then had an unexpected disconnection, so lost a couple of laps. VTR1 and 2 moved up the 1st and 2nd when the leading SFH (Sim-racing For Holland) car had a problem. They're still going at the moment though.

VTR3 then lost 2nd gear, and VTR2 (with Jan driving) had some accident damage. VTR1 pulling away quite quickly at this stage. I in VTR1 had a minor crash exiting Tertre Rouge, but no serious damage sustained. Rich is back in VTR3, Neil having given him a relief stint when Rich suffered a 2nd disconnection. Neil is now in the VTR1 car, with Graham in the VTR2.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off for some shut-eye. :)

VTR1: 1st
VTR2: 2nd
VTR3: 11th
