call them wannabes...

call them emo....

argue theyre NOT emo....

acuse them of being whatever you feel you have to reply in this post.. but..

probably not many people's taste, and certainly not mine for a while as i laughed at all those 'weirdos' who listened to this stuff...until this this one track....

...this video, this song has had a very surreal mental emotional effect on me the last week. dont know what it is exactly, its got a weird strange feel good/appreciate things more air to it. Probably just more of a 'what the hell' but hey... enjoy it!

Both are annoying but this is much less annoying than rap/hip hop with the "shout in your face" attitude, honestly.

Wow weird, my tv just said "Welcome to the Black Parade" as I read this topic title.

I quite like 'em, and i'm diggin' their new song :P

They were alright at Leeds festival last year despite being on first thing in the morning. I heard they didn't get a great reception at Leeds/Reading this year...but I guess thats because there were so many metal bands playing this year...

I don't judge groups by the genre in which they are automnously placed by critics. I judge each song on its own merits, and am quite happy to admit that I prefer some Coldplay over some Guns 'n' Roses with particular examples.

This one by My Chemical Romance is a decent song - it will not likely be in my memory or my playlist in a month or so, but it's good enough to listen to at the moment. A desrerving number 1, although I contest the fact that it has any deep emotional message.

Emos hate life because of personal reasons and would rather be happy. I however hate life, but I don't give a f*ck anymore. Period.

Goth and emo bands both have one thing in common - they take themselves dead serious and lack self irony.

They talk about suicide but they would never cut their wrists because it would leave a mess and look un-stylish.

If you want some proper depressive band watch this:

What song of TON are those?

Lol Vader, I started listening to Type O because of a old thread about favorite bands. I knew TON before, but never listen to it with much atention.

Now I have 3 cd's of Type O Negative.

I don't like much emos, I don't like their attitude and music at all, but I never had personal problems with Emos and in fact I know really few Emos (I mean Emos that I know the name and talk to, I see a lot of Emos every day, but don't know who they are...).

I like Goth music and some stuffs, I love to go to Goth parties, but one thing I can't understand is some people take it too serious, I don't see any problems about someone having special clothes for going to a party, doing some make up but for a night or a party, not to walk on the streets in the middle of the day with our summer hot weather.

I believe everything you take too serious is bad for you, you should know how to separate things.

i think it's funny how goths go around wearing all black thinking they're all alternative or different to the rest of society, yet they all conform to a certain dress-code or image, so are exactly the same as each other, so in fact are still being sheep.

That's true Muks_C. But the most things are some bizarre creatures you see in those parties. Believe me there are lots of beautifull goth girls, but there are some really bizarre people on those parties also!!!

Brrr, those bands give me itches.
These are just wannabee kids who think being depressed is all cool, but in secret, they love life more than most.
i think they should be publically cured by putting a gun into their mouths yelling at them if they need a friggin' favor.
i'd like to see their answers.
