Giuvetch (Гювеч)- traditional Bulgarian meal from vegetables and mutton baked in thick ceramic dish and topped with eggs, 100 different ways to make it ;)

Patcha (Пача) - Soup made from pigs ears legs and belly with milk and coked in a pressure cooker for a few hours. oil is then heated to a high temperature and red pepper is added to it, the whole thing poured over the soup and then garlic with vinegar added too. I kill for this stuff :D

Ogreten (Огретен) - Mashed potatoes (sometimes grated without boiling) with Bulgarian feta cheeze, milk, LOTS of butter and some nutmeg. Oven Baked

Now you got me hungry, but these things simply cant be made in the UK, the products are just so different :(

Take zucchini, eggplants (aubergines), sweet red peppers, carrots (peeled), fennel and potatoes (peeled). Cut to slices. Marinate for half an hour with lots of garlic, pepper, a bit of peeled lemon skin, lemon juice, olive oil, rosmary and thyme.

Put with marinade on a baking tray and salt to taste. Put into pre-heated oven until eggplants get mellow and potatoes start to brown a bit.

Serve with Tsatsiki (greek curd with cucumber bits, garlic and salt) or any ready made garlic sauce/butter.

Goes well with a nice beef steak (rare or even better blue)

I think he means 2 kg of green pepper (the vegetable) and not paprika (the spice).

My favorite Brazilian dish has to be white rice, black beans and ground beef, all cooked only with salt! You could think of it as the perfect interracial dish ;)

I love brazilian Feijoada, I can write here the recepie, but it is not an easy thing to do. But if I find on internet a recepie of it in English I will write it here.

Also I have my own version of Mexican food that I make with ground beef and Doritos, when I have some time here at work I will write the recepie, it's pretty easy and fast to do.

It's ideal when you bring a girl to have dinner in your house as it's a different dish and not make your stomach heavy so you can do what you want after eating :P

Also I like to do some pasta with different gravy, in fact I'm not a fan of Tomato Gravy so I like to make pasta with White Gravy with bacon, ham, cheese or whatever I want to.

In fact I like to cook when I have time, but just some different stuff, not everyday food but I rarelly cook, I have lunch in one of the restaurants near my work and at night I eat a snack at Uni.
One thing that I hate is washing everything after cooking...

what exactly is ground beef then? as opposed to what we get here, which is minced beef.

is it very finely chopped to a powder almost?

I thought ground beef means Carne Moída in Portuguese, I already told this to an English speaker and he understood.

Hope you get then...
