Is there any way to enable a 'smooth scrolling' option in iTunes? In mine, scrolling is very blocky and goes down a few lines at a time, very annoying.

Have you got the new iTunes?

Edit: I just realised - My old iTunes was a bit slow at scrolling. Kinda jerky like yours, but in iTunes 8 its smoother.

**Or is it iTunes 7?... The newest one.

'Toasts' is a generic name for pop-ups that spring from the system tray. Hadn't really made the connection myself, but it's kinda funky I suppose now I come to think about it.

On the subject of iTunes 7, I don't have an iPod, and the only time I used iTunes I detested it, but judging by similar threads around, the new one is buggy as hell. Can't qualify that myself, but unless it's needed, the general consensus is to avoid.

Winamp supports portables, so I recommend everyone uses that. I just use iTunes for the Music Store, which is rather roxing.

winamp is a dated piece of junk.

still use it for my videos tho ;)

iTunes 7 is buggy, everytime i go on www.last.fm the playback goes all fuzzy for some reason.

I can't reinstall iTunes 6 now with out losing my library as they updated the libary file in iTunes 7 :(

Saying as Winamp is primarily a music player, I'd argue it the other way around. WMP and Foobar are the only others to consider IMO, but I'm still Winamp for albums ;)
