With the greatest respect to Tiger's deceased dad, the fact that he died is no excuse for his son to be rude.

If Tiger played to compete and that's all as gav may have suggested, he should have stayed amatuer. There's plenty of competitions to get his juices going. Professional sport is what he choses to play: fans, the media, interest and attention are part of the deal.

He must have known before he made his decision, (and it was his decision, no one elses,) to put himself out there in the public domain by playing professional golf.

I can appreciate that the attention must be trying at times, however he seems to be a repeat offender for being rude.

Very good golf player though!

i read somewhere that Woods got fed up of people selling his autograph on ebay etc, so he then stopped signing for free and i think he actually started charging for it, but the money was dontated to a charity

Dont know if thats still the same policy he adopts now though.

Yeah that is what I heard. But he rarely signs autographs at all, only for special occasions and with that knowledge, it prevents people from buying fakes.

there was a show in which a camera crew spent some time with David Seaman, and he said that when someone asks him for an autograph, he asks them their name, and signs it personally to them, to stop them selling it on, cos it's now personalised and no use to anyone without that name.

that's a good idea, but obviously not practical at a time and place where there are lots of fans and lots of autographs to give.

when i used to do bar work, a guy who used to come in actually worked for a company that went round to all the football clubs with merchandise to get them signed, so in 1 day he might travel to 3 or 4 clubs to get to the training sessions or games to gets stuff signed, then sell it all on ebay. he'd have someone else with him to take pictures to authenticate the signatures.

so in a way a sportsman has every right to be pissed off and not sign something for people who clearly are making a business out of them, but it's not right to upset a young kid who idolises the sportsman when he only wants 1 autograph to keep for himself.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
