If you wanted a true and unbiased technical opinion on something this specialised, you should have asked on forums aimed at such things. Hexus.net, the Overclockers.co.uk forums, that sort of thing. I couldn't get much further removed from having a cool and quiet Dell laptop. I've got a workstation chip with the bejesus overclocked out of it sitting in a full server case powering a widescreen monitor. It's not very laptop.

It's a good spec, and Dell laptops are generally considered great (though I've never seen one), but frankly, I know jack about it, and I can tell you from the off that QWERTY won't know either - and that's no dig at him, it's just that we could only ever know what you should already know when you looked up reviews of the individual components.
