Vader Trophy - Lydden Hill Gallery

Quite a difficult gallery to do this, not because there were 60 laps of insanity, but because the camera angles are so far back from the action it made getting the snaps harder than usual, and writing captions a tad difficult too. I did my best, but don't expect the usual quality I'm afraid.

Feel free to view this one twice - Jon was complaining about the lack of bandwidth usage :P

Maybe the lack of bandwidth use is because the majority of the forum doesn't really care?

I eagerly await these threads in the hope that I'll stumble upon something massively exciting, only to be let down, time after time.

Then why bother opening them if it's so obviously not ever providing interest or excitement for you?

For those that are involved in the series, the galleries are a nice reminder for some of us of the fun (or otherwise!) that we had during the race.

Rich has a good point, you don't have to read threads.

I do the galleries for the people in VT, and aslong as they want them I'll continue putting in the time. I post them here simply because VT started off (and still continues with) members off this forum, so unless the majority of the forum really doesn't want to read them then I'll stop posting.

Its tradition and it wouldn't be VT-GPL if it stopped.

I was merely pointing out that the lack of bandwidth used may be something to do with the fact that the only people who look at the galleries are those who are involved in VT, and not the rest of the forum.

I look them, and like them. But I have been involved in VT in past, not in GPL series though.

Fair enough. It was mearly a high hearted comment about something Jon said on the VT forums. His server package gives 250 Gb per month and we're using about 2 Gb.

Is it possible to upload a hotlap replay for each VTR qualifier (like Gav posts) and perhaps a VT GPL quali run from the pole-sitter? Maybe that would take up some more bandwith (and I'd download them ), perhaps upload more things like that!

We could do I suppose. Capturing laps in GPL is a lot easier than in NASCAR too.
