exactly. they'd been building to it for a number of years- even when they got massacred 76-0 at Ballymore in I think it was '97, World Cup '03 was the goal all along. and good on them for winning, they were the best team in the world in 2002 and 2003.
The Wallabies were very deserving of the emphatic win on Saturday, and ironic that it was you Poms who went to uncontested scrums this time around!
And if anyone says, 'Well it was a third string England side,' I say bugger off! That was the team you put on the paddock, so cop the result that your 1st XV came up with!
And congrats on the Ashes, although I think we'll be taking them back off you this summer! Should be another great series
