Vans do a converse style plymsol thing for like £20. Hurt like hell the first week but now are the comfiest pair of shoes i have ever bought.

if you want something a bit more plain and versatile, i would suggest to go to River Island. They have a brand called 'NuSchu' (i think). they have a decent range of shoes.

Not those chequered ones?

I wanted a pair of those, but then I realized too many poeple had them ;) :P But do seem quite nice, and apparently the big advantage over converse is that they are much more waterproof :P

you know, if you left the security of your house and went to somewhere known as "the town centre" or a "shopping centre", you may actually find something you like by yourself :)

a bit of a radical concept i admit, but that's how we used to do things in the old days. you computer babies don't know nuffin.

Try www.jdsports.co.uk , they sell many styles/brands. And for clothes, www.milanclothing.com for some designer labels.
