to be honest, not loving it too much, looks like too much text and writing all over the place with no real definition between posts. the old colour (blue and white alternating) was nice after the all-white of the previous version of the thread lists.

but i suppose we'll get used to it over time, like we got used to the last update.

as for editing posts, i have just made a couple of posts, and the "edit post" option is there, but once i edited the post, the button vanished, so maybe we can only edit a post once?

and please please please don't haver the info bar thing on the left with avatars, other forums looks absolutely terrible with them, all cluttered and horrible.

EDIT: just edited, the edit option will probably disappear now.

EDIT 2: no, it stayed there this time.

EDIT3: and again, yay.

anyone missing the "you have a new private message" button, im relying on emails when i get a pm atm, its not as good as the old button on the main forum page:)

and, maybe we could have two visual themes, the old and the new and people can choose which theme they want, this new look is going to take alot of getting used to but im sure well manage it, i can see alot of works gone into it so far, good job:)!

At another forum I haunt you can edit your posts until someone else posts in the same thread. It does not even say that you edited anything. Only if someone has posted after you and you edit your post, a note saying: "Post edited by xxx at yyy" appears. This way every one can see that a post has been edited with hindsight and thus editing "stupid stuff from drunken sessions" after sobering up again can be easily identified.

I must say, i rather hate the new look of the forum. I didn't see what was wrong with the old one, and i liked that. This is a bit confusing, and a bit to bright for my liking, but then agai nwho cares what i think..

after i make a post the all the colours disappear until i enter a thread, i basically get just plain text and hyperlinks. I'll try and get a screenshot if it does it again

Hmm about the editing stuff: and what about those who make little messages in the thread title like 'news on pg6'and these kind of things. Now all of the current ones will stay? At least let that option to change the titles! Thanks

If I had to make a suggestion about the front page, I would say that we only need it to display the last three threads posted in for each topic. Currently it looks as if it displays the last three posts in any thread and posts the link to the same thread multiple times. One is enough.

Take a look at the bottom of the main page of www.simracingworld.com for example. I think that's a very good system how they've done it.

<edit> URL tags not working?

Just been informed, that if you prefer a different colour scheme, you can select that in your User Control Center.
