The impact speed was 176mph. The normal speed at that point was 210mph, or 215mph in race conditions. Dana was on the brakes before he impacted with the debris.

My point was that everyone slowed down (perhaps with the exception of Dana - only telemetry can show that) - but that Sharp slowed down more than everyone, so Dana would have been a blur, as was everyone - ignoring that, Dana was already ahead of Sharp before they slowed down. 3 of them running together, Dana taking the other on the inside, having already overtaken Sharp.

Some drivers might have only just entered the track too (it was only 3 minutes in I think), so some would have just been warming up, while others were on already on a hot one. Just too many unknowns.

I was'nt trying to argue just noting that rahal had
said there was radio contact with the spotter and he
did'nt want to speculate on why dana did'nt slow down.
guess only one person can answer that

the spotter has to take a lot of responsibility too, if he told Dana to "go low".

When the spotter said go low (if he said it), the wreck would have still be at the top of the banking.

hmm, tough call for him, it all depends on how quickly his man (Dana) would get to the damaged car, and what path the damaged car was taking. unfortunate.
