I had the beta, it was bloated. Dunno if its fixed now but some programs just don't really need updating if all you use it for are the basics.

dont use msn plus so it doesnt bother me and it works perfectly fine here. no crashes or problems logging in at all. it also says on the plus! website that when the live messenger goes public, they will release a compatible version so im guessing theyre making one as we speak?

Oh wait. My smilies aren't working now (even the standard ones). I can't see them either when the other contact uses them. Plus the color codes aren't showing in the names. I'm probably going to go back to 7.5 now

There's only 1 thing that makes me think 'wtf' about WLM beta: if you post a comment AFTER the other person has signed off, that message will automatically be delivered to that person the next time they sign on. So you could sign on now and have a 'bye' message come up straight away. Dodgy.

Oh nevermind, for some reason the smilie box got unchecked so its Saul Goode now. Back to MSN Live I go...

I just wish I could make my MSN window smaller vertically, it's the only new feature I am waiting for to update my MSN . 6.0 or 6.2 was just fine, and actually had too many features for me already!

So.......what is new in Live Messenger?

Seems to be NOTHING.

Last week saw several websites proclaiming that the Windows Live Messenger was public because of the website on MSN UK, however it still required an invite to sign in to the program. The Messenger team has now dropped the "invite-only" status of the beta, allowing all users to signin.
