Another fake motorsport item on eBay?

hey guys, i'm sure you all remember the fun we had with the guy on ebay selling the Indycar rim allegedly used by and signed by Senna, a few months ago?

well i was browsing yesterday, and saw this item:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

lol: "Michael Schumacher has won races for Renault consistently and has become Formula One World Champion numerous times."

he couldn't even be bothered to find out how many championships MS has won.

i contacted the seller informing him that Schumacher left Benetton at the end of '95, and joined Ferrari, and asked him is the item from a Schumacher Benetton, or from the '97 Ferrari, or neither.

here's my message to him:

Hello,

Schumacher drove for Ferrari in 1997, not Benetton Renault.

He drove for Benetton from the end of '91 till the end of '95, and drove for Ferrari from '96 to the present day.

So is the part from Schumachers '97 Ferrari, or from one of his Benettons? or from neither?

Thanks.

he didn't reply, but withdrew the listing, and changed it to this today, choosing to say it's from a '95 Benetton:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

it looks very fishy, as he has no proof, and in order to get the most money possible, has targetted the "Schumacher" name to associate the item to.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

lol, i'll tell you right now, that is not an 1995 F1 front wishbone

My Email

This is not a Renault F1 wishbone like you first claimed. Nor is it a Benetton wishbone, like you claimed. This is the 1995 Benetton which schumacher won the championship with, and as you can see, this suspension peice is clearly not from it

I await your reply..

it's WAY too narrow for any f1 car pre-98, and it just doesn't look like an f1 component to me. in any case the listing's way off.

what do you think about this item:

[cgi.ebay.co.uk]

it can only be from 2002-onwards, if it is genuine.

well, he's set a reserve price on it, so that means he wants at least £50 for it.

Hey there good friend,

I know this is a big thing for you to waste your time constructing e-mails that I
don’t really pay any attention to anyway. But there are three things that I would
like to say to you.

1) learn how to spell.
2) stop wasting my time and work it out for yourself as your so go at it in the
first place(Mr detective).
3)if your going to bid for it do so. If not then stop e-mailing me with this babble
as it is almost as bad as junk mail.

Thanks for the mail.I bet I will hear from you soon even though I really don’t want to

James

God save me!!!

P.S I never claimed that the wishbone was off a Renault F1.

as you know so much about F1 you will know that Benetton and Renault were the same
thing! it was the same car! wake up, in 1995 the car was a Mild Seven Benetton
Renault B195 F1 car.

Oh man im gona have fun with this dick bucket :D

how many times have you emailed him Dave?

your spelling looks fine in the first email you sent that you posted here. and he has written "your" twice, when he means "you're".

and with this comment: "P.S I never claimed that the wishbone was off a Renault F1"
he is assuming you haven't seen the earlier listing where he DID claim it was off a Schumacher 1997 Benetton Renault, but we all have seen it because i kept the item in my "watched items" list on ebay, so still had the link. what an idiot.

he clearly did claim it was of a Benetton Renault:

Idiot. That really doesn't look much like an F1 wishbone - could be from an F3000 or any lower formula tbh.
