the chicks that got gold and silver in the mens-womens-ice-dance-skating-disco thing yesterday were quite nice, american and russian i believe. it's not really a "sport" though, is it? it's like having snooker in the summer olympics.

speed skating is a sport, but the dancing one isn't, IMO.

the snowboard race thing with 4 people is bloody cool. when that Jacobellis fella fell over while he was leading was fuuunny!

(yes, I know it was the womens race, just joking)

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

finland v usa
switzerland v sweden
canada v russia
czech rep. v slovakia

quite stupid thing from sweden yesterday to lose to slovakia, on purpose. i just hope now that sweden will lose to switzerland because they thought that switzerland would be the easiest team to play against. and of course the big game for us, finland-usa. finland played an easy game yesterday against germany and it rested a bit. usa on the other hand played a tough game against russia and probably are a bit more exhausted than the finnish players. i hope that this will give us a small advantage and we'll win the match.

Canada's done as well :( Horribly outclassed by the Russians. Oh well hope the Czechs make it to the Semifinals. Theyre 2-0 up on the Slovaks right now. So looks like semi finals will be : Finland vs Russia and Sweden vs Czechs I think :P

lol true...

today we'll find out which two teams will play in the final in hockey. :) i think that finland has good chances against russia. unfortunately one of our key players, salo, is hurt and atm it's not sure will he play or not... :( i hope that he's ok and will be fit to play in this important game. the second semi-final is sweden-czech rep. and i hope that sweden will win, not that i like sweden more than the czechs, i just want to see them lose in the final to finland ;)

also we'll find out who has won the gold medal in curling. the final is finland-canada. finland has played well in this tournament and i hope that the good performances continue and we win the gold medal. :)

oh, and tanja poutianen got the silver medal in women's giant slalom. yay! :)
