I need computer help please...

I just installed a game, but when I try to load it, this error comes up.
Why? Its a brand new laptop (since Christmas) so I have no viruses etc, got enough ram to play GTA:VC etc and Its a legit game. Any ideas?

Page file isn't big enough.

Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced > Performance Settings > Advanced > Virtual Memory > Change and make your page file bigger.

and then restart computer :p

How much would you reccommend? I increased it by 300mgs (I have a total of 32.1 gigs availible) but I don't want to use too much if you know what I mean. It didn't work with 1056 and 1812

Just out of curiosity, what game is it? Have you checked forums and such to see if your problem is a common one? Got latest DX9, drivers, patches, usual stuff?

to work properly, windows needs at least 1.5 * installed ram.
so that's a 2532 MB pagefile. so if you set it to 3500 you should be safe.
if the same problem arises then the pagefile is not your problem.

I set it to 3500 by 3800, reset and it still does that error (same error). The game is Nascar Thunder 2004 (I got it in a boxset thingy - 5 games for $20 fyi)

Then hit "set" and then "ok"... then do what ZaZ said.
