Well I thought this might be a good idea, so people can tell us firstly, what you're hoping for, then what you get, what you're doing at Xmas + New Year and so on!

So I guess I'll start.

Christmas Day + Boxing Day I'm spending with my family, as I always have. Then I'll be meeting up with all my college matess to exchange pressies, get drunk etc.

Not sure if I'm doing anything much for New Year yet, but ya never know.

Presaent wise, money has been a bit tight this year, so I'm not expecting miracles. My dad bought me a new Micro-system the other day for £50 which was cool. I think I'm getting mostly cd's and money from other people.

Religious wise, I'll be going to midnight mass with my parents as I do each year.

----------

[edit]Oh yeah, and my New Year's Resolution is to exercise more. ;-)[/edit]

Continue!

Christmas Eve - go to my grandma's house to start chrimbo celebrations, but mainly for my (and my sister's) birthday, which is on the 24th.

Christmas day - open pressies (a few clothes, a couple of cds and dvds, books etc)

New Years im not sure, probably go down the pub with mates as its late license nowadays near me!

on NYE i'm going to my friend's apartment for a formal type party, i love any excuse to put on a shirt and tie :) Plus it's in North Sydney so an awesome view of the harbour fireworks. It's cool too cos there was a party there last year as well, which is where i met her, so it's a nice 1 year mark for us!

Christmas in terms of presents i'm gonna get overloaded, my group of close friends randomly decided we should all get eachother presents so despite the fact i spent a shitload, it should be cool :)

I'll save well wishes for everyone here until the appropriate date, I'm sure i'll be around here anyway ;)

I'll be going to midnght mass with my cousin, as we do :-) Christmas Day probably go to the beach, picnic lunch and champers. Boxing Day going bush to a remote cabin with Gusto and a group of friends and their dogs and kids, no electricity! Do a bit of 4wd, some fishing, river swimming, open fire cooking, lots of drinking etc. etc. No idea about pressies.

Mmm.. Christmas eve I'll just spend here at my grandma's apartment, hopefully I'll have a pizza. No church thingy or anything else, I'm not religious at all, and on the 25th my cousin should pick me up for a lunch with my other grandma.

For the presents, my dad and stepmom got me footy cleats (I put the links on the Alpha team thread in OG), a little winter hat with the CBF logo (the Brazilian footy confederation), and a shirt - which I was against ;).

Here in Brazil I got a new short, just as I was hoping for :D!

For New Year's since no one did it yet... my resolution will be 1024x768 ;). Nah, but seriously it is 1) have a girlfriend 2) do very well in school 3) play more football. As for what I'm doing, I might go to the beach to see the biggest fireworks show - as usual ;) - in the world but then come back to the apartment and probably end up either going to bed or chatting with peeps from here :P.

Start a new thread when either:

a) one of these things happen
b) all of them happen at once

thats because australia wasn't discovered until the mid 1980s, and it just so happens that's when it became snickers.

courtesy wikipedia -

"In the United Kingdom and in Ireland, Snickers was originally marketed under the brand name of Marathon, with the name changed to Snickers in 1990. Many people felt dissatisfied with the change at the time, as some still do today (so much so that they do not buy 'Snickers';)."
