I do, casue he sings about stuff that's really important to him. I fink it's great what he sings about, and his lyrics are a must-read.

That's my favourite Christmas song since it came out in 1996.

TYPE O NEGATIVE (from the album:October Rust)

Red Water (Christmas Mourning) -

Wake up, it's Christmas mourn
Those loved have long since gone
The stocking are hung but who cares
preserved for those no longer there
six feet beneath me sleep

Black lights hang from the tree
accents of dead holly

Whoa mistletoe
(It's growing cold)
I'm seeing ghost
(I'm drinking old)
Red water
Red water
Red water chase them away

My tables been set for but seven
just last year i dined with eleven
goddamn ye merry gentlemen

Whoa mistletoe
(It's growing cold)
I'm seeing ghosts
(I'm drinking old)
Red water
Red water
Red water chase them away.

I heard the other day that he's sold some insane amount of albums - like in the region of 60 million.... Crazy.

i like some of his songs, but when nearly every one of them is about his wife and kid, it gets really boring. then there's the whole 'taking the piss out of Michael Jackson' phase he went through. wow, he's such a gangster, picking on a guy who has more talent in his little finger that MM has in his whole body.

I don't really take much notice of 'phases' or anything like that, if I like a song becuase of the sound of it, i'll buy it and listen to it. I don't give a @#$%& about the rest of it.

If Eminem blew up a school full of children I would still listen to his music, cause it wouldnt change the fact that I like the sound he produces.

my favourite christmas songs:

Queen: A Winter's Tale

It's Winter-fall, Red skies are gleaming, oh
Sea-gulls are flying over, Swans are floating by
Smoking chimney-tops, am I dreaming
Am I dreaming?

The nights draw in
There's a silky moon up in the sky, yeah
Children are fantasizing, Grown-ups are standing by
What a super feeling, am I dreaming
Am I dreaming?
Wo, wo, wo, wo

(dreaming) So quiet and peaceful
(dreaming) Tranquil and blissful
(dreaming) There's a kind of magic in the air
(dreaming) What a truly magnificient view
(dreaming) A breathtaking scene
With the dreams of the world in the palm of your hand

(dreaming) A cosy fireside chat
(dreaming) A little this, a little that
(dreaming) Sound of merry laughter skipping by
(dreaming) Gentle rain beating on my face
(dreaming) What an extraordinary place!

And the dream of the child is the hope -of the hope- of the man
It's all so beautiful, like a landscape painting in the sky, yeah
Mountains are zooming higher, mmm
Little girls scream and cry
My world is spinning, and spinning, and spinning
It's unbelievable, sends me reeling
Am I dreaming, Am I dreaming
Oooh it's bliss

-------------------------------

Queen: Thank God Is Christmas

Oh my love, we've had our share of tears
Oh my friend, we've had our hopes and fears
Oh my friends, it's been a long hard year
But now it's Christmas, Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas

The moon and stars seem awful cold and bright
Let's hope the snow will make this Christmas right
My friend the world will share this special night
Because it's Christmas, Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas
For one night

Thank God it's Christmas, yeah
Thank God it's Christmas, Thank God it's Christmas
Can it be Christmas? Let it be Christmas
Every day

Oh my love we've lived in troubled days
Oh my friend we have the strangest ways
All my friends on this one day of days

Thank God it's Christmas, Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas, For one day
Thank God it's Christmas, Yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas, Oooh yeah
Thank God it's Christmas
Yes, yes, yes, yes it's Christmas
Thank God it's Christmas, for one day

A very merry Christmas to you all

Exactly. Why go for a weak and uninspirational second-hand copy when you can have the original.

Today there is. There liked because there cool and were apparently different. They are the "in" thing at the moment. For there time, i dont see what was so specail at all. Iggy Pop was around the same time and was far far better

On the topic of bad current songs- the Darkness, 1 way ticket to hell and back. A generic @#$%& darkness song, with the guy sounded like a hamstr is hanging onto his balls, but this time, the song has a completelty retarded name. Hopfully that band splits up very soon, and never ever comes back.

i don't, i wouldn't say its cool or the "in thing" to like The Beatles today.

i quite like the pantomime of the Darkness. take them for what they are, a piss-take. i'd rather have them doing well in the charts that other generic crap like all the rubbish dance songs around, or rubbish from X-Factor and that kind of thing, or the 'serious' bands like Athlete and Coldplay, who have no imagination and churn out one dull song after another, which depressed students lap up.

I'd take them as a pisstake if they produced a song which was slightly different to any of there others, and radio 1 didnt insit on playing them 4 times a day, and getting them on for an interview where the BBC (an imparcial organisation of course) spends the whole time trying to suck them off.

I really would prefer a dance song (a genre i hate) because at least some attempt has been made at something slightly different whilst the darkness just take there old power cords, change some words about, and sell it on. They might be a pisstake, but they are as fake and as poos as anything that comes out of the X-Factor.
