Great thread! I've had a think about it, and have decided to disregard your rule about living only :p

1. Stanley Kubrick - visionary film director of arguably some of cinema's greatest ever movies.
2. Billy Conolly / Bill Bailey - you gotta have the funneh. Connolly if you want outright crying with laughter (eg the dinner party / birth video sketch he did)

3. Paul McCartney - the less abrasive of the two key Beatles, and so had to be in there!

4.Robert De Niro - I just think he's a legendary actor.

5. Bill Clinton

6. Bill Bryson / Simon Schama / Andrew Neil / Jonathan Davies / Stephen Malkmus / Jacques Villeneuve / Jackie Stewart

That's a lot of Bills! :o

there's someone else who doesn't know Vader....
because i've met this person who refers to you as "my little nephew from Bonn"
so you might want to invite your uncle too ;)

Nice grave dig :p

I stick by my selections, except I'd shoehorn Sir Clive Woodward in there, and Cameron Diaz, because she's lovely.

ooo Juninho Paulista is back at Flamengo for 2007! :D
It was actually the team he was supposed to start his career at in 91, but got turned down because he wasn't good enough :\ (this coming from the team that refused to pay Ronaldo's bus fares which made him play somewhere else)
