my.yahoo.com is a great tool to keep up to date with news, RSS feeds, and email. I also keep all my bookmarks on there so I can access them from anywhere, as well as a calendar. It's basically like having a secretary who is up to date with the news. :P

I don't need to have google as a homepage as firefox has a google bar at the top anyway
I have bbc.co.uk as its got the news, sport and weather on one page.

its easier to mouse gesture down then start typing, im too lazy to go find the google box in firefox

google, loads quicker than any other webpage so if i dont want it, i can just nob off somewhere else...quickly
