*cracks knuckles* ok here goes

hello there, I'm Wirah
I dunno what that rhymes with,
perhaps shearer?

Anyway, it's just an alias,
not my real name,
not since they classed me as legally insane

6 lines down, 6 more to go
till i reach the goal
and fellow forumers i can show

I hope this tickled your toes
but because it made no sense,
i leave you now OHNOES!!!!!11

I know it's not strictly a poem as it was intended to be a song - but make sure you read Paddy's Sicknote :)

Even more funny when you've got an irish person singing it :D

I am Anze's cat
He makes me wear a hat
He likes to give me a pat
He thinks I'm gay
whey hey hey
He will pay.

I am Anze's cat
he makes me wear a hat
He dresses me up in women's gear
He makes me drink wine whille he drinks beer.

Two personal faves:

THE VEGGY LION (Spike Milligan)

I'm a vegetarian Lion
I've given up all meat,
I've given up all roaring
All I do is go tweet-tweet
I never ever sink my claws
Into some animal's skin,
It only lets the blood run out
And let the germs rush in
I used to be ferocious
I even tried to kill!
But the sight of all that blood
Made me feel quite ill
I once attacked an Elephant
I sprang straight at his head
I woke up three days later
In a Jungle hospital bed
Now I just eat carrots
They're easier to kill
`Cos when I pounce upon them
They all remain quite still!

and, probably my fave poem of all time:

EPIC - Patrick Kavanagh

I have lived in important places, times
When great events were decided, who owned
That half a rood of rock, a no-man's land
Surrounded by our pitchfork-armed claims
I heard the Duffy's shouting "Damn your soul"
And old McCabe stripped to the waist, seen
Step the plot defying blue cast steel
"Here is the march along these iron stones"
That was the year of the Munich bother. Which
Was more important? I inclined
To lose my faith in Ballyrush and Gortin
Till Homer's ghost came whispering to my mind
He said: i made the Illiad from such
A local row. Gods make their own importance.

Couldn't have two more different poems, i know :)
