A 2008 Lancer I bought new back in the summer of 2007. Fairly low mileage though, only 10,600 km on it so far.

Not looking all that presentable right now though, but just as fun to drive on some Bridgestone Blizzak's and fresh white powder :)

When you said 'fresh white powder' for a moment I thought you meant a line of coke! ;)

Hehe No mortal!

Muks - Long time no talk mate. I stacked the alloys and tires (18";) away for the winter as I'm using these 16" steelies with winter rubber.

ah right. so your country actually prepares for winter weather, unlike ours which doesn't and then comes to a complete standstill after 5mm of snow...

Our winters last 7-8 months with snow around nearly the whole time :( The city tries to do a good job of keeping the roads clean but better to be safe than sorry. Investing $800 in a good set of winter rubber will certainly pay itself off over time. My summer tires would get absolutely no traction in these conditions hehe Speaking of snow, we just got dumped with about 3 1/2 inches again today gah.

harjinator, thanks for the compliments, appreciate it mate.

Yup, same here. 1mm snow or freeze, and public transport stops, cars crash and everyone stays at home.

So do you have to use winter tires by the law there? Or are they just recommended, but not mandatory?

Where I live winter tires are actually mandatory for December, January, February and March, but we have snow around only for about 5 or 6 months.

Its purely optional and voluntary here. Sometimes I wish it was mandatory, when I come across all the maniacs in RWD cars/trucks driving around with all-season tires with absolutely no tread on em.
