Plus the Bridgestone adverts aren't nearly so intrusive and annoying.

its not the intrusiveness, i can understand that in a GP, but the sheer tackyness of them!

They are awful!

Surely the success of an advertising campaign should be measured in how many people feel compelled to go out and buy the product, not how many people complain about the advertisement?

I think it's similar to ITV's decision to take a break towards the end of the San Marino GP. Everyone was talking about THE ADVERTS. And it will encourage people -not- to buy their products.

The Jamster ads will probably work, though. IT'S A SCAM!

Someone at TAFE today had that fecking frog as their ringtone. I nearly grabbed his phone and threw it out the window.

And it's not just Jamstar and the frog, there's a whole host of them now. I've seen ads for The Mad Owl (???) and [THE FARTING MONKEYS (W.....T.....F!?!?!?!?!??) All of them are the same, "we'll suck $5 out of your phone every week and you can all the cool noises that most normal will want to kill you for playing in public!!!" WOW!

Why on earth would you want farting monkeys as your ringtone?? Someone needs their head smacked in.

Heres a spokesman from HMV:

"Kids obviously find it cute and cool, but students and even office workers seem to be drawn to its rather kitsch, ironic appeal.

"The only real issue is whether the record label can press enough copies to keep up with the huge demand that we're seeing right now."
