My only bad experience was actually from Paypal when they took away 65 quid because they were 'investigating' a case of past fraud from the seller while I had already sent the cpu (Athlon xp 2500) since I got the payment 4 days before this notice. So I was left with nothing minus a nice cpu and a buyer who was not responding. I still use Paypal but for big stuff like a fork I take different payment.
As for shoes I bought a pair of Merrell's from the US and normally UK size is 1 number down from the american (I'm size 8.5) so I boughht a piar size 10 and when they came the label said US-10 UK-7.5 !!!! They still fit like second skin and I love em, but it was kind of a surprise.

I'm involved in a dispute at the minute with a phone. I paid for it, received it, and found it had an intermittent fault. 3 weeks later after I sent it back, I'm still waiting on the supposed "cheque" arriving.

i recently got up to a blue star on ebay :) (ie 50+ feedback score)

Worst experience i had were dopey americans who refused to pay for some games i sold, but it was like the 3rd auction i'd ever done so we agreed to just leave positive feedback for eachother. Very silly, looking back on it now!

Mneh they had black ones too!

I'm a size 9, so I got a size 9 uk, and they fit fine. If you have freakishly wide feet (;)) then get 1 uk size bigger, otherwise they're as with normal trainers.

How much they setting you back?

Word of warning chet, they're not exactly hard wearing, mine are about 2 weeks old, and already the inner sole is showing signs of wear...

Converse are @#$%&. I've had four pairs in the last year, like anything fashionable they're designed to fall apart after a few weeks. Doesn't stop me buying them, mind :P

You can't really call something that was designed around 60 years ago something "fashionable [...] designed to fall apart after a few weeks". They were not designed to be fashionable, they simply became fashionable becasue they are so good.

so...you haven't heard from yourself??!!?

i've been buying off ebay since last november, and everything has arrived (eventually after weeks in some cases, but these are from USA/Canada, so it not unexpected for them to take longer).

got 144 score, light blue star.

one item was lost, and a replacement was sent promptly.

a book i bought had a page ripped out (which wasn;t mentioned in the description) so i sent it back and the seller refunded me what i paid, so i left her +ve f/b.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael
