Where is everybody from??

hmm i'm going to birmingham today for some sort of weird history trip/conference thing. Can't stand the brummie accent mind. Thankfully Coventry has its own unique accent - some places, like the wolverhampton accent, sound slightly brummie themselves.

I started talking when I lived in the West Midlands. Got a roight Brummie accent! Sounded like Jasper Carrott.

chet, we use the same words for emo and greebos here in brazil. At least in São Paulo (if you compare how I speak from how Guimengo speak you will see that we use a lot of different words to express the things). Basically emo are for people that listen Emocore music, I don't like much Hardcore (it dosen't mean I don't like it all there are some few great Hardcore bands), so Emocore I think it's a comercial stile of music.

I live in São Paulo, Brazil for the week days (I work and do Uni here), and São José dos Campos in the weekends (where I was born).

São José dos Campos is a great city 100 kilometers from São Paulo, it has 800 thousands people living there, it's a really developed city but not so crowded as São Paulo, and I hope to get back there if I can get a good job there.

Oh god don't get me started on emo *sigh* It is not punk at all. It is about as emotional as wailing ferret. It is all about it being 'cool' to feel depressed etc such crap bands as funeral for a friend and such like. I actually find the name emo offensive, since it implies that it is the only type of music with emotion in. To describe it as punk is a joke though, but then people have tried to describe busted 182, sum 41 and good charlotte as punk too, so it hardly suprises me :-/ The fact that anyone would want to be part of any such type of group such as emo, greebo, skater, townie etc (they are not chavs, they are townies and they are nothing knew - been around as long as I remember :-/) is quite sad really.

Being sad and depressed is not big and cool. What is bad is that all these people say that they are sad and depressed cos they think it is cool, where as infact they are not depressed at all - they do not know true depression usually anyway, they just pretend cos they think it's cool.
