..need some cheap help

Ok i normamlyy hate these bloody graphics card threads but i feel the time has come for me.

You see ive got a not bad pc - 1.9ghz, 512mb ram e.t.c

But i think that my gfx card is slowing it down. Atm i stil have a Geforce 2 - so firstly, d'ya think it would improve the pc much if i whack in a new card

Ok secondly (getting to the point) i would like ur recommendations on the friggin card itself, bearing in mind i dont wanna spend more than 60 quid. So bascially since i have no fuckin idea about them at all, could u recommend the best one for this price...

You'll see an improvement with that, but do bear in mind, its the lowest ATi DX9 card. So dont expect amazing ooomph behind it.

Dudes, it is a bit shite - it's a SE card which means half as fast as an 9600 normanl card :|

About half way down there's a Radeon 9550 128mb card for £57 inc vat, looks pretty cool. I've never heard of it though, I presume its a slightly slower 9600 (not the SE) so it should be cool

But wait to see what jon says - he knows a lot about these things too.

I personally would have a GeForce 4 Ti 4x00 then overlock it to @#$%&. You can get stupidly high on it if your PCs decently cooled

i would go for a radeon 9500 myself, if u get lucky it becomes a 9700

If you can be bothered with ebay, then the 9500 is awesome, but if not, anything like a GeForce FX 5200, ATI 9200, 9550 would be great

another thing chris. check to see if u can push the cpu up to around 2.09ghz
