Have to agree with Andrew_S people bring out lovely renders of cars etc etc etc and people think its the best believe it actually looks like that in game.

I havent seen anyone who thinks a render is ingame...

Its made to show off the details for what they are, because when its put ingame, many details are dumbed down, lighting isnt as good, etc. It shows off the model for what it is. It isnt saying "This is what it will look like ingame" its saying "this is what i have made, do you like it?"

erm.. lol.. ok.. but i think an ingame shot is alot better then a render... i mean i'd much rather show my car in gp4 then in a render cuz you can't see the alpha channels and so on..

actually it makes the model look a lot better than it is! the fact is it doesnt represent the real product, if you are making for rendering purposes then fair enough, you make a hi detail model as best you can, but for an ingame car, rendering, doesnt give a reflection of what you are producing, ralphi's reason, is an example of what i mean
