Don't talk gibberish, Windows 8 is perfectly fine for games. Gabe and Pardo are complaining because paid metro apps are apparently only going to be available through the Microsoft Marketplace, so Valve and Blizzard will have to pay Microsoft if they want to sell Metro apps. They're upset as they want an easy way into the mobile market, notably for the ARM-based version of Windows 8 for tablets.

Nothing changes on the desktop side - Steam will still continue to work as it did, as I presume Blizzard's games will. If anything, games will run better on Windows 8, as the hardware requirements are lower than that of Windows 7 and Vista.

So you guys are using w8 preview version? And what will happen when final version will be released? Unable to continue using till buying full one?

Windows 8 RP will continue to work until February 2013. But I'll be purchasing Windows 8 on October 26th 2012
