Wouldn't upgrading from Xp+ to 64 mean you have to change mobo too as the pins are diff. That measn at least another 60quid for a decent mobo

Hehe, I got Dual RAM anyway :) TwinMOS, that does remind me, I gotta send e-mails to Asus and TwinMOS and get to the bottom of my problem :P

But yeah, AMD 64 uses 7 something something pins :)

Brand name ram is always good, but the 64 doesnt NEED dual channel, so you can save some money.

But if you can afford dual channel RAM, get it, cos its quite a bit faster. Not for games though, but for power hungary applications.

But that's the point! It isnt faster for amd64, as it doesnt utilise dual channel, and it has an on -die (on the proccessor) memory controller, so it makes no difference. Good for p4's tho :)
