You might need a new Power Supply box

this is the power connector on the card, most power supplies have more than 1 power connector.

Kronos, look into your PC case, you'll see a (probably white) socket with 4 wires coming out of it plugs into the CD drive and hard drive. Find a one that looks exactly like it, and plug that into the socket on your graphics card.

Drifting now: Thegraphics card makers needn't supply a power lead.

The expected use of power leads from the power supply is: 2 for the mothers, 1 hard drive, 1 floppy and 1 CD/DVD drive.

Of course you never get that few, but the graphics card manufacturer doesn't have to supply one with it.

Usually there is at least three or four plugs for power hanging off your PSU for HDD's and DVD"S CdR's etc, if there is not one spare , maybe you have installed additional HDD's and another cd burner, whatever ;-) buy a double adaptor plug set, that will fix it straight away, assuming of course that your PSU is up to the task and has sufficient output. If you do not know or understand how to check this, do take your rig to the store where you bought the card and they should be able to help you there. A double adaptor plug set is cheap as chips btw and dead easy to fit ;-)

Thanks everyone for your help.I found the said power lead and it works fine.
For info.Iam now getting 30fps with GP4 x2 antialising,used to be 22fps.On NR2003 Iam now getting 40fps at start instead of 25fps.

XP1900.5700 Ultra 128mg(used to be radeon 8500le).
I think thats a good improvement and avoided having to upgrade to a new motherboard and processor.
