It slows the cars but creates fantasticly close racing. I remember watching the cart race they first brought it in and it was great!

I think the Device is located right at the rear. You can see two forks sticking out with the wing slotted in to angle it up and down.

In Ralphi's picture, it's the bit at the very back of the wing - the bit that's going vertically down. IIRC i read in Autosport ages ago that it basically breaks up the airflow coming off of the rear wing, creating lots of drag and aiding slipstreaming.

what senniho said is right. its just like a wall to slow them down and create more slipstreem

yup exactly, i was talking to my mate and we agreed that this should be brought into F1, mark webber made a statement saying taht its the aerodynamics that are ruining racing, not the electronics, i agree with him.

I do agree with Palomino - the reason there was so much more overtaking in CART is that they have strict rules for aero. For a start the front and rear wings are regulated so that they don't produce that much downforce, and also they have a small amount of ground effects to make them more stable when following another car

If they want to slow drivers down, cant they fill their helmet with chocolate source or something so they have to drink their way out of the problem? Might make racing a lot more fun :)
