is that true?

about the mechanics from williams?

surely that'd be like a local town planner getting home from work and booting up a game of SimCity :)

It was big ears who made the comment, several posts down.

I can't see my post in there! Odd!

Hi guys,

It's been a while, thanks to Glyn for inviting me back into the fold...

Anyway, not much to preport really, been mainly playing Sony's F1 2003 and Vice City on the PS2, gave up GP4 after I moved to Windows XP and the framerate dropped through the floor! Dodgy programming I reckon! Currently saving for a Cray to get a decent framerate... ;)

Just looked at this trailer ( [www.gamershell.com] ) for Grand Prix Simulation, anyone heard of this before? Does anyone have more info on it?

Nothing much on the PC lighting my fire racing wise currently, looking forward to Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 this Xmas, and will probably get into Half-Life 2 and maybe X2: The Threat. What's everyone else playing at the moment?

Cheers,
Trev.

Good to see you made it back Trev! I thought you got lost amoungst all those Alienware PC's are PCF Towers ;)

The only other info on that F1 sim game you mentioned is that it meant to be something special in terms of driving model. The graphics don't look very good, but give the modding people a few weeks and I'm sure it will look decent again.

I just found out the other day that a colleague of mine is Jim Rossignol's cousin! It's a small world!

I agree that Gran Turismo 4 looks pretty smart. And I don't suppose you know when we'll see a Half-Life 2 demo, do you?

Can't wait for GT4 either, get the old PS2 booted back up.

Still just playing Spearhead on the PC for now, till Breakthrough comes out I guess.

GPL and NR2002/2003 have the best gfx engines IMO

Simply because the colours arent too bold and bright (GP4) and not too dull and boring (EA F1 games)

they have it just perfect
