Half-life 2 due out in September

Fantastic News!

There's a big spread on it in the June issue of PC Gamer - looks awesome.

It might even be enough to make me put my steering wheel away for a while.

One new PC required before either the release of Doom 3 of HL2.

Loads of people say they dont care about Doom 3 anymore - what fools. They will both be as great for entirly different reasons.

Unless they do somethign special. Doom3 and HL2 will be just more run-around-shooting aliens game

If i want that i play Duke nukem - i get a good laugh at the same time!

Hmmm, what is left in the HL plot. Poor guy must be sick of running round an overrun (and massive) research base by now...

Seriously, HL is great, the one thing I hope they improve in the sequel is to make it slightly less linear or obvious. Some of the puzzles in the first one seemed like they were there deliberately, like the room where there are several crates suspended of a pit, and you have to leap from crate to crate.

Or a locked door that you have to take a long detour to open. Why not shoot it down?

Nothing wrong with that, in fact, they are usually more fun. Take Serious Sam. That was an excellent game. Mild humour, great action, and amazing weapons!

Hehe I love the game on the whole, just some bits like that seem a bit odd. Like you are trapped in a room with seeming no way on, but there's always a convenient box to stand on or something... hehe
