Motherboard help!!!

I got new motherboard for my PC (not this one im on - thats the family one)

I got AMD mboard and XP 2000....was pretty happy with it as made my way home. Got home, took out the old board - was very tightly screwed in so took awhile, but otherwise was fine

Then i tried putting new AMD board in my AMD case.......IT DOESNT @#$%& FIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So i done some DIY on the case, and it fitted

Then tried hooking up the power leads to the board.....THEY DONT FIT EITHER!!

come on!!! What a joke! Computer standards? Thats why AMD Mboards dont fit the rest of there stuff????

Anyone know if a power cable adapter exsists? I cant afford a new supply after buying the mboard and CPU.

If your PSU is atx standard it MUST fit! WTF of a case you have?

The board was 2mm to big, but the holes all lined up

Getting new power supply may as well get whole new PC :@

Is your PC a custom-built machine or a manufactured one like Dell or Compaq? If so, then it wasn't designed to be upgraded like that.

But if it was custom built, and came in a standard ATX case with a standard ATX PSU, there should be no trouble. Also, is your PC an Intel machine?

Alternatively, buy a cheap new case from somewhere like [www.ebuyer.com] or [www.aria.co.uk]. Some decent cases there for cheap.

You don't really need the case probably, just the PSU.
