Sometimes, just sometimes, relics of the past pop back to give a wave and flash a nostalgic smile :)

Having seen this thread only now sadly shows that I haven't exactly been a regular, but anyway, I'd like to say too that this forum brought me to the sim racing community and modding some 11 years ago, and in an indirect way pretty much let to what I do now, so I'll be forever grateful for that.

Not to mention all the great people I've met, such as the OP himself, thanks guys for all the fun!

I remember coming around when I was buying GP4, without even having a computer able of running it. I read a lot and only registered months later. Then only started actually posting a long time afterwards, but after coming across a lot of fine folks here (some who became modders or professionals in their fields) and leagues, my interaction grew exponentially. I am one of the worst people for keeping in touch but like an elephant, I don't forget! As much as I'd like to ;)

I don't think I've ever come across a guy who's so into selfies. Back in 2009

They're not selfies if other people are the ones taking the photos ;). And pretty much the only photos I take outside of travel ones, are of the below, hehe:

I come around here every once in a while to see if the place still exists and I'm always pleasantly surprised.... but the real shock for me (beside the interface being in full german (I've luckily somehow managed to find the language dropdown in settings)) is that my signature somehow still works even through the page on which it's hosted shouldn't exist anymore

Looking back my first post here was in 2002 when I was still in primary school... holy f*ck that's a long time ago... and I don't think that I want to read through my old posts, lol

Where’s mr Yo sup these days?

So many memories, anze89 sig is one of the things I associate with this place.

Along with guis selfies, madotter, ls, redsam and his Rik Mayal avatar, zcotts lemon face, muks_c politically balanced posts and immense model collection; mikahalpinen, mal...

I added a few guys from the gpgsl to my Facebook for fear the forum would close one day and they would simply be all but nicknames in my memory. Made me feel quite sad given how much of my teens and twenties were spent on here, still logged. I have no idea still to this day what half you lot are really called.

It’s a strange scenario, when the forum was at its peak as already said it was like a live chat it was so busy. I miss those days, and oddly consider you folks in high regard then as the physical friends I have now.

Thank you Vader for helping make this place what it is, and for the lovely memories and part it played in my life :)

Oh cool, this place is still going :) Hey Dan :D (it's Ric)

Captain Dick Scott!

The Hawkeye Offline World Championship (HOWC) created by Ric is how I found GPG. To think that the HOWC GP3 league itself was founded in late 1999... some 18 years ago now :O

Holy crap!

Even more amusingly, that must mean that our teams are some of the oldest out there that still run in some form of sim racing league (HawkEyE and True NorthF1) :D

In years to come, a digital archaeologist will stumble across the infamous blue whale tongue thread.

Hi Mortal

Thanks for keeping this open. Updates and posts are not so frequent as they used to be, but this site is still valued by a hard core of us fans.

Much appreciated!

We can still tear the blue whale a new hole in its tongue if it needs to be.
