A little IT help please

I am not an IT guy, at least it's not my background. BUT Some of you guys are pretty much experts.

Basically, I am looking to do a presentation on 'performance testing' ... software performance testing. I realize google is my friend but realize because as this is a new area for me I could as easily find wrong information as well as useful.

So, to you guys are there any pages/papers you would recommend me reading regarding this area???

I am looking for basic to an intermediate level. Any application of the subject is not an issue. My initial searches have been focused on software testing for UAV applications as aircraft engineering is something I am more familiar with... That however has only really yielded results based on general flight testing rather software performance testing.

Would there be anything regarding engine management systems for automotive applications? Such as software for fuel flow regulation based on throttle input?

Any help would be appreciated :).

edit - This is what I wrote down on paper quickly as a basis for getting on the right track

Performance - indicator of how well a piece of software meets it requirements.
-What is adequate performance?
-- Responsiveness? Ability of a system to meet its requirements for a given time response?
----> input ---->response ---->event…
--Stability? Scalability? Can the software still preform at an adequate level with an increasing demand?
--Versatility?
Testing Methods?
Testing/debugging

Ask Reddit, maybe in r/software or a similar subreddit.
