Hi guys,
I have a little problem with my own created F2012 car.
In Gp4Builder the car is okay and ingame the car is black...




I've created the car in cinema 4d and exported it in .obj file
After that i imported it in 3ds max and exported it as a GTA file...
Then i imported it in zmodeler and exported it as gp4.

In the past all was ok but this car is ingame black...
I've compared it with normal car but i cant find a solution...

Can anyone help me with that problem...?

Too many formats conversions, IMO!

Anyway, it seems that the normals have been modified during a processus (negative or inverted). If you don't want to loose the normals or the faces to be deformed, I suggest you to import your obj model into 3Dsimed (2.9 version at least) and to export it into .mts format (F1C). Then import it into Zmodeler.
Zmodeler doesn't like 3ds or GTA format ;-)

Or it could be a problem with the textures also. Are they correctly assigned into Zmodeler? Are original textures correctly converted into .tex ?

hm thats my standard method to put a car from c4d to gp4... ;-)
Normally all is okay but the last two cars dont want ^^

tomorrow i will send you the files(second car too :D )
i havent the cars(gp4 format) on my mac ^^

I think you should : obj ->;(using 3dsmax) .3ds and than using Zmodeler to Convert

new weird problem...
its flickering between good and bad :/
texture settings DTX5 und transparency full...
maybe somebody can help me :)

You might check in tex resizer that width and height values are really the size of your texture

When it is flickering, it might be also a problem with the mapping into Zmodeler, outside of the texture. You have to replace all the mapping parts into the texture.
Check your mapping and post a picture please...


Edit:
If you don't see what I mean, select all the faces of your car, then, Surface/ Mapping/ Assign UV and click on one of the faces (SEL activated), you should have something like this ( all the mapping must be into the square)



If not, select the faces by material and check for each texture...

only the mirrors and the suspensions are little bit over the rectangle and they are working good ^^

i have 3 textures for the car ;)
