I asked about the deletion of magic data, because I had the common issue of having a custom track with a shorter bumptable than the one it is replacing, and it only loads with GpXPatch. I know it's strange, but I like to run the game without it. I thought that if I can remove the magic data allowing GP4 to use its default, it could load in properly. I could be wrong, of course. It is actually Pedro's Kyalami.
Elevations are still something to be work on, I currently do a Brands Hatch 195?-1975 layout from scratch. It will only be a beta, i. e. its whole 3D mesh is ignored, as my skills in 3D are zero, I just do the .dat conversion, much like Pedro did at his Österreichrings and Interlagos. I don't know yet if I will publish it. I don't want to publish half-baked works, although I would allow anybody to build a proper 3D mesh to it.
As for the CC-line zig zag, it was hard, but I had to scrap the whole things. I could not work around making a CC-line practically blind. I did the track modifications again, made the compromise of not moving the initial sector and it works well now.
