beginners guide ???

has anybody compiled (or thought of compiling) a full guide to gp4, including:

1. how and what order to install the game/ patches etc etc
2. the best cars etc available and how to install
3. a guide to how gp4 works (file types and stuff like that)
4. tweaks needed to optimise performance
etc

?

i mean a web based html thing and not 'search the forum'

Good idea mate. I've had lots of problems with systems, OS's, drivers, GP4 generally, car.wads, editors etc. I'm still a learner when it comes to modelling and a lot of the users on this forum are experts so I think it's a good idea to do an "Installation Walkthru" - at least it'll get newcomers up to date as far as making GP4 run well and look good.

I think Alpha F1 has a very basic guide to settings GP4 up, but if your looking for excellent cars check this website out. Also try the awsome cars thread.
