I know I've been here for ages and stuff, but I haven't had GP4 insalled and didn't really follow any of the news.

Now, I reinstalled it tonight, and I have problems.

Firstly, my system:

Jetway P266B mobo
Athlon XP2000+
GF4 Ti4200 64Mb - Det 41.09 drivers
DirectX 9

I patched GP4 with the 9.6 patch

I got that "need directx 8.1" message but then realised why.

The next issue, the current one, is that I can't see anything. Basically, I hear the intro and can skip it, and hear the menu music, but I can't see anything. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have made no modifications except the patch.

Could you be having registry problems/issues?

delete the gp4 shortcut. make a new one pointing to the gp4.exe and it will work

Tried that unfortunately;

I was originally on the reference drivers, so I installed those det ones.

I'm thinking a format might be needed :(
