MAC Racing Announcement

It is with great pleasure that we announce here in this historical racing venue
that as of next round, former Aston Martin racer Adam Davies will be joining the
team as a tester. It is just the boost this team needs. He brings with him a
truckload of talent and the knowledge of having driven with one of the biggest
teams on the grid.

His experience in the game will help in no ends in developing not only this years
car as we race on but also next seasons challenger as well. His announce as the
teams main test driver should also help to spur our 2 race drivers, Chris and Jack
on to driver harder as now there is a new threat to there seat.

We welcome Adam to the MAC Racing Organisation and are confident he will fit
in brilliantly to our relaxed style and fun attitude of life.

Any statistics regarding rookies starting from front row winning wet races? LOL :-)

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
I was hoping for an easy race, this could be both in my advantage as my disadvantage.. But a big part of the field wont see the finish! The MPR has been a reliable car..

Race starts: 141 | Points: 886 | Podiums: 35 | Race wins: 10

I won my first (and only...) race in the wet, S3 at Donington Park, driving for Alpha from pole ;-)

I won my first ever race in Dubai in the wet but I think it was from P3. And yes you read correctly, Dubai IN THE WET!^^

"If in doubt, Flat out."
Was that the last time a VSM won?

Season 5 seems like years ago

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
Yeah, I think that was the last win for ex-VSM. And you are right Rico. That were great days. We might have to repeat that one day in a few seasons ;-)

GPGSL Belgian Grand Prix - Spa-Francorchamps

Race Day - Part 1

Good afternnon and welcome back to Spa for the Belgian Bun Grand Prix. After yesterdays soaked qualifying, we have a dry track today, but there is a threat of rain as always here in the Ardennes.

Gianluigi Silvestre returns to the Scala race team after his 2 race suspension, but otherwise we have an unchanged line-up from the race at Zandvoort.

Anyway, the drivers have completed their warm up lap and have lined up waiting for the start.
We have 5 lights!

Go! Go! Go!

Jalving gets a great start but the Alphas look threatening.

As Worseling holds on to his 9th place despite Somogyi gaining 2 spots. Rodríguez takes the lead from Jalving.

Pedersen is getting ambitious trying to take Silvestre into Eau Rouge.

He's run wide!

The Danes momentum throws him into a spin.

And becomes the first retirement of the race.

Meanwhile Rodríguez comes under pressure from pole sitter Jalving, but he slams the door shut.

The first four nose to tail, with 5th closing in.

Jalving tries again, but fails.

Ed Greenhalgh sets the fastest lap at the end of lap one.

Current standings.

Aleksander in 17th.

Jalving tries again and fails.

First three close together.

Jalving takes the fastest lap this time around.

Somogyi soons beats that time.

Sheppard goes even faster!

A long train forming behind the leader.

Another lap and another attempt to pass.

Greenhalgh in 3rd.

Rain is beginning to fall at La Source.

Aleksander takes the honours on the fastest lap.

Greenhalgh has a moment and nearly loses control.

Jalving makes a better attempt to take the lead.

Jalving runs wide and Jalving is through, but can Greenhalgh do the same?

No, and now there is a multi car train behind Carlos.

2nd to 11th.

Hinz has got mechanical problems, his engine has blown up.

Rodríguez defends from Greenhalgh.

Warrington takes Somogyi for 10th.

Greenhalgh attacks for 2nd place.

And takes the position.

Maverick goes for 7th on Greidanus, but ultimately fails..

Warrington attacks Worseling for 9th.

Greenhalgh takes fastest lap as he chases Jalving.

Pitstops come 2 laps early due to the rain.

Kittleson hoping to become the next driver to pass Rodríguez.

Jalving pits followed by Greenhalgh.

The pitstops are in full swing, lets look at the standings.

Vilela leads the race.

One busy pitlane.

Silvestre gets crossed up exiting Eau Rouge and is passed by Hunsley.

And then Johnson.

Greenhalgh was a big gainer in the stops, closing up to Jalving.

20 laps to go.

Commercial break coming up, don't go away now.

So far so good, the pace seems strong in both wet and dry.
