I am NOT retiring at the end of the season!

Now that wasn't a surprise! Marko did tell me a while ago he was pretty certain he was retiring, which made Rubens announcement such a shock to me.

Honestly, the silly season continues! And this year it's really sillier than ever before. I saw it coming after Tobi's promotion that one of the guys was leaving. But both...and also JW, most likely, that's indeed a big sort out of top drivers. And a big loss for the series, too.

...enough of that! Welcome to the Nurburgring as you join us right before our 22 test drivers (ish) get out on track to senselessly hotlap. It's wetter than a One Direction concert here so raincoats and wet tyres are the order of the day.
Chairman Mal kicks off proceedings in the Snake machine.
He slithers over the line in a predictable first.
Which is smashed by Mills, who now sets the pace.
Scala follows in the silver machine.
Steer pops up ahead of the Italian.
Sevastian gets into 5th in the MPR.
Home favourite Nell's into 8th...
...and is displaced by other home favourite Kederer.
Paddock gets into 5th.
Whilst AMR grand fromage Stu steams into 3rd.
Legge runs into 8th.
And Josh Copeman slots into 7th.
New-boy Gareth McCarthy gets into 16th. And isn't that a lovely helmet?
Davies grabs 10th spot.
Gilson sneaks into the points...
...and is ratted out by Warrington.
De Boer grabs 11th place.
Spencer doesn't quite hit the mark, ending in 17th.
And now for some standings, TNR must be quite pleased...
And now the times have really fallen away, Kederer is over 4 seconds slower than Mills.
Ooh er...
So session over, let's review the top 8 again...

It became obvious already that the track condition gets worse when the favorites only managed mid-field times. Welcome to Germany, I'd say

I know this situation, I had the same when I was running the qualy for Oulton Park in the GPGNC. Pretty boring and difficult to make an exciting coverage...
