GPGSL S7 [SEASON COMPLETED!!!] Rule Changes Announced For S8.

great coverage :-)

bad session(at least for me, Sebastian is still working well :-))

My GPGSL Career
Rain affected session means we can't quite tell as much as we'd like about our pace here but solid results by both drivers scoring points is certainly a positive.

5th, pretty chuffed with that, my highest ever finish! Pity Gary couldn't pick up some points...
Still i think that puts me 15th which is much better, time to keep moving up :)

7th isn't so bad, glad I got a run in before the track got too wet. I'm slowly reeling Gary in...

Needed to get Dominic out earlier, he's had quite an inauspicious start to life here. He'll sort it out though, no doubts.

Great coverage, Dean. I feel moderately honoured to be on the opening credits as well :-)

Not a bad second session for me, I just couldnt time my run correctly to make the most of the dry track. Hopefully the wet running will aid the race team with their setups.
Bad result for me, Decent for Snake Motorsports & Great coverage for Dean!

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

I'm happy about 3rd place, the car had a good speed and I think even a faster time would have been possible without the rain.

@Dean: First of all, great coverage (Y). But do you also have a screenshot like this [4.bp.blogspot.com] of the final results? Would make it a bit easier to do the results tables.

I'll PM you with it once I knit the images together :)

The conditions wasn't perfect today. It was already slippery at the end of my first and only fastest lap. But I can't complain. Only 1.5 seconds behind the leader. I'm sure the weather will be a lot better in Budapest. ;)

By the way nice coverage. :-)

First podium: S8 Australian GP - 3rd at Testers sprint race
Wait a second. How the hell did i get into 9th place? Please someone, tell me this isn't a dream. I really can't believe it.

Sebastian Nell wasn't avaiable for a comment. People who went through the Paddock, saw a Sebastian with a grin over his whole face.

THIS IS EPIC!!!
Dean had a good run in the dry, sad that i was out too late. Useful data tho for both wet and dry conditions. Lets hope we can improve during the weekend.

4th and 8th for the testers guys is a really solid result. Just a pity that Dan couldn't make good points on Kederer. I guess that's it for the TSS youngster now. He really deserves the race seat at TSS next season.

And for Andrei, what bad luck that he has exactly the same time as Jake Legge but is only 8th nevertheless. Concerning the mixed weather conditions this is a good result nevertheless.

not too bad

Oh right. No offence, Dean, and I hope you don't think I'm being overly critical, especially as I much appreciate a video coverage and the commentary that comes with it but I just think taking a 4:3 video and stretching it to 16:9 looks @#$%&. If you took 4:3 coverage and cropped it into 16:9, that'd be fine, a bit like how they do with South Park and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on Viva! these days, but I guess that'd be impossible on GP4? I don't really see what it adds to the experience otherwise, other than making all the cars look crap and flat. I look forward to a return to 4:3 coverage! If you choose not to, I guess I'll just have to try and live with it, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to presentation. Anyway, just to make myself clear, I really appreciate the time and effort you put in to producing a proper highlights package. It's excellent.

Unless I'm very much mistaken... I am very much mistaken!

To be honest, it was somewhat of an experiment (seeing as how I personally can't stand the black bars along the side of youtube videos :-(). On reflection, you're right - doesn't quite look right really :)

I will be returning to 4:3 in the future :)

I don't really mind it, but I am wondering however why the video is stretched? Why not just make your GP4 resolution widescreen and then record? Just wondering ;-)

It was a spur of the moment thing, really - which came after I'd recorded the footage ;)

I may do another experiment in that vein, in the event of any further videos - though it would help if there was a widescreen embed option on the forum so it didn't look like someone had shrunk it ;)

The embedded videos are too small anyway. It's nice to get directly on the youtube video by this embedded one, but I'd never watch the video in that small screen. And I guess most people don't do either. So I wouldn't worry too much about that

I don't mind the black spaces considering the amount of work done. Keep on with the great work Dean, each time you make a video coverage I really feel we're being broadcasted by Sky or BBC :-)

Another nice result for Jake, however Dominic was unlucky on his maiden session, as the rain ruined what could clearly have been a much better performance.
