Still an outstanding result for us, seems that the new-spec Ford is quite fast!

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
no real shot of our new test car :(

Sorry about that!

The problem was after your initial run you didn't improve and even though Kittleson did, I didn't to include too many pictures of the 'main drivers' considering they'll have their moment in the spotlight in quali and the race, so in the end I kind of forgot to include a close up :/

If you want I can upload a couple of T-cam shots I've kept even though it's probably a bit late now, but hey it's the thought that counts ;)

4/10 to the pole, for my first season this is looking good. Just have to improve my pace a little bit now and maybe get some positions better.
First session result was 21st, now 20th, and 1/10 better. Hope this continues.
well done, T&T!

6th and 8th, I was hoping for a bit more considering the boost. Lets hope the boost can be sorted for qualy.

Well that was a bit rubbish... I need to be doing better especially when Gary is doing such a great job in the same car. Although a big well done to Gary, great job!

Here, a gift for all you testers:

Wow, very impressed with Gary

7th and 9th, I hope we won't be worth in the qualy...
After the free practice today, John Maverick was seen walking through the paddock. And, it's unbelievable what happened there!

It's no secret that John Maverick has rather an aversion against the track in Zandvoort. The more surprising was his t-shirt choice. Asked by curious reporters he answered this:

"Yes, of course I still don't like Zandvoort very much, that's no secret. But I'm also a nice guy...most of the time. I won't repeat my statements again, it's all been said. But to show my good will I promised Ruben (Greidanus) to wear this t-shirt after my home GP to make him feel better. And if I promise something, I do it. So...here I am with this t-shirt."

Thank you very much! :-)

cool idea to have the trackmap on the pictures, maybe we could try that in a race as well

used to be GPGSL's Nick Heidfeld
What a result for TSS! Car feels great. Good job by Tobi but perhaps not strategically best to have myself ahead of him though.

17th...yeah. I'm going backwards. I just hate this track so much. Nothing else to say really. Disappointing result, but I'm here just to test the car. So...

____
No worries ;) As you said, it's the thought that counts. So i am going to let you get away with it :p
I hope theres a pic in the next event.

Bottomline, we need to drive faster !

I am finding it hard to keep up with all my finals coming but doing my best to stay active. Great race for me and looking forward to hopefully another corker and more Quali pace.

Out of interest can i warn of me being inactive. I mentioned previously may i have my finals and so its easy to forget to post with that being so important so is it possible to warn i may be inactive over that time and then if i am then i did let the GPGSL know?
I have to concur with my teammate Jack, Gary is really impressing in the testers championship!

Jack, it looks like we need to get our act together before he replaces one of us =P

Oh come on! 'I'm warning you all I may be in-active'?

If you had used your noggin, you could have just requested a two week holiday and not posted for a fortnight whilst you did your finals. But now you have posted that, I'm not really sure it's allowed. My initial reaction was no, it is not.

GPGSL Italian Grand Prix - Monza

Qualifying

Hello everyone! Steeped in history and with a few ghosts, Monza is our venue for todays qualifying session. With Nick Worseling's exclusion from the rest of season 7, BBC commentator's Ben Edwards' little brother, Owen, will be replacing him. Edwards family must be proud!

Let's get on with the action.

John Warrington is first to leave the pitlane.

Obviously hoping to put the disappointment of retiring from the Swiss Grand Prix, Warrington sets an excellent time.

Daniel Thomas struggles to match The AMR's time.

Minardi's Kittleson gets a little nearer, but not by much.

Maverick takes 3rd, but again thats some way of the pole time set by Warrington.

Ben Johnson gets much closer, taking 2nd.

Thats the slowest time so far by Somogyi, nearly a second of the pace.

Sheppard briefly takes 6th before being demoted to 7th...

...as Greidanus takes 3rd in his Shadow Subaru.

VXR's Pedersen nearly half a second off in 4th.

Charrel Jalving will be quite pleased with 2nd so far.

The two MACs cross the line, Hinz taking 7th...

...and Hunsly taking 5th instantly demoting his team mate to 8th.

Thats got to be a disappointing time for Aleksander in 9th position.

Rodriguéz may have problems with his race pace, but there isn't a lot wrong with his qualifying efforts, 5th place.

His ART team mate, Vilela, immediately beats Rodriguéz to 5th.

A reversal of fortunes for Horváth from the Swiss GP as he takes 4th.

Greenhalgh, early favorite for the win here at Monza, surprisingly only manages 8th.

Like Somogyi, Silvestre struggles with the ScalaGP's pace, a lowly 13th.

Cartwright, a championship hopeful only a couple of seasons ago, finds the going tough in his SCR.

Elleker with a cracking lap to grab 3rd place.

The two Snakes are next over the line, Karjalainen taking 13th...

...and Edwards beating only Somogyi.

The first part of Qualifying over, let's take a look at the grid so far.

1.WAR 2.JAL 3.ELL 4.JOH 5.HOR 6.RGR 7.VIL 8.ROD

9.EGR 10.HUN 11.PED 12.KIT 13.KAR 14.HIN 15.SIL 16.ALE

17.MAV 18.THO 19.CAR 20.SHE 21.EDW 22.SOM

Somogyi throws the wooden spoon out of the cockpit as he crosses the line in 9th.

Kittleson improves his time, but stays in 13th.

Greenhalgh jumps 8 places to 2nd and makes it an all Aston front row.

Aleksander scraps into the top 10.

Car 14 in 14th place.

Horváth moves up to 4th position.

The MAC Racing heirachy will be pleased with 12th by Hinz

John Maverick just can't find a good setup, maybe he needs to take a look at Jalvings telemetry.

Cartwright still struggling down in 19th.

Aussie Sheppard also not having a good time of it. Maybe his lack of sleep due to his newborn is effecting him.

Edwards was hoping to make an impression with the Snake management, but he's making a bit of a hash of it.

The second runs have been completed.

1.WAR 2.EGR 3.JAL 4.ELL 5.JOH 6.HOR 7.RGR 8.VIL

9.ALE 10.ROD 11.SOM 12.HIN 13.HUN 14.PED 15.SIL 16.MAV

17.KIT 18.KAR 19.CAR 20.EDW 21.SHE 22.THO

Greidanus wrestles his Shadow into 4th place.

Fantastic lap by Pedersen to grab 6th.

Warrington goes even quicker!

Vilela takes 9th, but then he was already 9th.

Third runs complete.

1.WAR 2.EGR 3.JAL 4.RGR 5.ELL 6.PED 7.JOH 8.HOR

9.VIL 10.ALE 11.ROD 12.SOM 13.HIN 14.HUN 15.SIL 16.MAV

17.KIT 18.KAR 19.CAR 20.EDW 21.SHE 22.THO

Edwards moves up one place.

Greenhalgh creeps closer to Warrington's time.

Maverick manages to drag his MPR into the top 10.

Johnson moves up two places to 5th.

Cartwright gets a half decent time out of his SCR to move up to 15th.

Stay tuned for the official results.

Oh what a disappointment. I knew that I would struggle here without a boost, but Charrel showed that more was possible even without it. Yet I'm very much missing this boost and wonder what has happened to Dan to miss it. Now it'll get really hard again to get some good points and don't lose more points to my direct competitors. Really a shame...
