Indeed. I can feel space and time beginning to tear slightly as it appears his perf is that good that he has already won the race before it has even started.

But if he's won the race already, that means he won't need a boost, which means he won't win the race straight away, which means he WILL need a boost, and... BOOM! *head explodes in a mess of skull fragments and brains*

Hmmm hoping to mess that my team-mate has just made in his car won't distract me from free practise, hoping the nicely big Christel boost should help me on my way!

GPGSL Italian Grand Prix - Monza

Friday Free Practice

Hello and welcome to coverage of the tenth round GPGSL season 7 live from the legendary Monza Circuit! Today you join us for the Free Practice session ahead of the main event tomorrow. Last time out it was current championship leader Tobias Kederer who was the quickest driver on track, can he do the same today? Or can his championship rivals come back at him. Anyway the lights have gone green and it’s De Boer who is first out on track for SCR



And shockingly enough he is first to start his flying lap…



… and he is first to finish it, but I don’t think that time will stand for long…



… and Sevastian immediately delivers, putting in a time two tenths quicker than De Boer



But Van Renselaar just nips in front of the MPR man



Whilst Scala goes 3rd fastest



Steer moves into 5th



Whilst his teammate goes comfortably quickest, three tenths ahead of the rest of the field so far



Karjalainen pops in 5th place



Whilst championship leader in Kederer just falls short of Spencer’s lap time



Mills meanwhile is the latest man to move into the increasingly popular 5th place



And no sooner have I said that, Legge replaces Mills in 5th



Paddock falls just short of that landmark with 6th



Meanwhile Warrington goes 3rd



But his manager displaces him almost immediately displaces



Gilson goes 11th



Whilst Nell in the second Scala car goes 8th



Kittleson is 11th



Stoddard is up to 8th



That lap from Davis is not exactly one to shout about



However his team boss moves into a respectable 10th



Pellatt meanwhile slides into 9th place



Whilst Van Smirren pops up in 6th



And Sheppard squeezes into the top three



Now with the first round of laps now done, here are the current standings







Van Renselaar is the first driver out of the blocks for his second lap



But his lap is well off the pace



De Boer lap however is much better as he improves to 6th



Steer improves to 5th place



Whilst Gilson joins his team mate in the top ten



Paddock meanwhile can only manage 10th



Scala is up into 8th



Whilst Ingers improves to 2nd



Whilst Mills pops up in 3rd place



Time for another round of standings…







Spencer is the first driver out this time, he looks eager to eek out his advantage



And he’s gone green in sector one…



…but he drops off in sector two…



…and falls just short at the line



Pellatt can only manage 13th



Whilst Van Renselaar almost knocks Spencer off top spot



De Boer moves back into the top ten



Whilst Steer is now into 11th



Kederer meanwhile is into 4th but is less than a tenth behind Spencer



But Mills is busy being held up by his team mate


Or is he?! I think Mills might have pulled rank there and stolen a cheeky slipstream off Sheppard, to lift him up the field and into 5th



Whilst Legge is very, very close to going fastest! Close, but no cigar…



Whilst Paddock is stuck in 10th again



Davis does improve, but as it stands he is still going home with the wooden spoon



Time for the standings







Again Spencer is first out of the puts, but he still can’t improve, can the others take advantage now…



Pellatt can’t, as he improves but only to 8th



But his teammate can! Kederer has gone quickest by the skin of his teeth!



Whilst his closest championship rival is unable to improve!



Just six minutes to go and there is time for just one more lap each







And Pellatt is making very good use of his final attempt as he’s quicker in sector two…



And he goes fastest to make it a Shadow Subaru 1-2! Is Pellatt about to outpace his teammate for just the 3rd time this season?!



Spencer meanwhile is at the mercy of the others after a fairly poor lap



But Legge’s is even worse as he is nearly two seconds off the pace



And Kederer fails to match the pace of his team boss!



Paddock is the final driver out on a lap and is now rounding the Parabolica for the final time…



But he fails to improve…



And with that the session is over, full results to follow:

Yes, great result, congrats Tom to p1! Myself in 2nd place, in front of my rivals, that's better than I expected. Let's hope Marko and Ruben can repeat this in the main event.

11th and 17th, I'm not impressed. But as we were supposed to use a +4 bhp boost and didn't do it, I'm also not really surprised that we're lacking pace. Hopefully this won't cost Dan the championship in the end and even more hopefully Charrel and me won't fall that far behind....really not impressed.
