Thx guys, I've updated the link in the first post, the mirror creator is a bit of a pain.

I'm just finishing the tutorial to make flag animation sequences in After Effects, you can also use Photoshop, I made actions to import and export the sequence's, but AE is much easier and quicker.
I'll post instructions for using Photoshop later as some may have preference to that software.

This is the method i use to create all the animations in GP4, all you need is 10 frames of animation and combine them into one atx sequence in After Effects.
I use 3ds Max for UV Mapping, so I don't have a clue how you would go about mapping these in GP4builder, maybe someone else could write a tutorial for that.

Tutorial added to first post, let me know how it goes, It looks long winded, but is actually pretty straight forward once AE is set up for the animations.
As you can see this isn't limited to flags, the sequence can be a combination of anything.
You can use this method for trees, helicopter rotors, pitbabes, camera flashes, etc, basically anything on a 2d plane

Flag Pack #1 is ready. sorry for the delay, I had to take a few weeks off, I've redone the animation and renders, I think they look much better now, and much easier to use in this format.

I think it would be better to release year specific flag packs, there should be enough with 32 flags per season.
Anyone wanting a specific year, just compile me a list of flags and I'll do the rest

Added 2006 with FIA flags.
Season Specific is probably the best way to go.

I will be releasing the ATX sequences only, you guys know what to do with these

Sure, eventually.....I get bored of doing the same thing very quickly.

Compile me a country flag list of the seasons from the wiki and I'll do the rest.

I may release an After Effects template containing all the flags, users can easily create their own sets by just dragging and dropping then rendering.
You can get a lot done with the 30 day demo
It seems from the little feedback I've had from my AE tutorial, is that the process is too complicated.

Btw, do you use the driver country flags in the tracks or just the team country flags ?
