GP4 SEASON 1985 MOD --> (RELEASED) <--

Did anybody ever solve the car power issue? I'm still having it after a fresh GP4 install on another laptop. It's really annoying cos its an ace mod but unplayable as it is.

Change the power of the cars in the performance files

Hi, sorry to bring this up again but this issue with the other cars just driving away on acceleration is still difficult for me to solve. It doesn't seem to be anything to do with performance as all cars do it and i've put my performance the same as the most powerful car. I have the same top speed as everyone else it just seems to be a problem when accelerating out of slow corners. This is an amazing mod but has anyone found a fix for this issue? Thanks.

Sort of. In gpx patch untick the box to use the mod's physics. The default physics are then used but the car power issue is solved

That would suggest a problem with the mod physics which needs to be looked at.

That's for sure, but I'm not sure if GP4 is capable to replicate the physics of a F1 Turbo car.

Strange though, cos I always felt that Ripping Corpse's mods tended to have standard physics. It's probably just the power setting in the physics file but I'll have a look some time.

Well there's your first problem if you're looking for realistic power settings!

the power figures for Brundles tyrrell will be less than the other cars as tyrrell were the only team to have a non-turbo engine for the first half of the season.

Great mod, I LOVE IT.

I do however have a PO problem, in qualy I can get a PO of approx 30, in the races it is about 300-500, with all background programmes closed etc.

I'm aware this is due to the mod only having lod 0, upgrading my four year old computer (3.2Ghz, 2Gig ram, 256Meg graphics) is not possible atm. Does anyone have the lower lod's? I've tried to make them but as usual something doesn't work and I make a mess of it.

and if changing the power torque curve? for a turbo engine?

This problem I solved removing the physic file, and setting 700HP for race and qualify, into CSM.
