Okay this car is originally by Michael Sandee and haunetal1990. They have both very kindly given their permission for this update.
This car sports the re-vised rear wing that Maclaren had to abandon.
The car has been re-shaped with the dropped nose along with some other little tweaks .... enjoy.;-)
If any one wants to post the coordinates feel free.

Great update!

I've done the Positions File for the car, it's available at GP4 Central.

Are these gp4tweaker positions definitely for this latest Mclaren update? - it' just that the settings I've found that look ok are a lot different to yours?

ok well I've used the following settings for the wheels -

FR 0.7000 -0.2280 1.6100
FL -0.7000 -0.2280 1.6100
RR 0.7000 -0.2280 -1.8850
RL -0.7000 -0.2280 -1.8850

HELMET -

0.0000 0.1150 0.0900

STEERING WHEEL -

0.0000 -0.0200 0.2700

TV CAM

0.0000 0.5850 -0.3000

I just thought there was a big difference in some of the settings
I was just checking you were paying attention ;)

You're right, those are for the original car (before Isaint's updates). I uploaded my pos file against the wrong car. :-O

I will correct it later today - thanks for spotting the mistake neil!

Isaint, the front wheels are very far forward in this update, from the cockpit I think they look too far away?

Well that's very strange because I have not moved the front suspension at all .. within the update every thing has remained equal at all times. For instance there are wholes within the nose cone that harness the front suspension. If the wheels where move forward unequally the suspension would automatically not couple with the recessed wholes. The car has been made longer but the whole care has been re-sized in unison so it remains equal in dimesion just longer.;-)

I think it was just that the tweaker settings for front wheels for most gp4cars has been a lot lower than the 1.6500 (ish) setting that's needed for this McLaren - it's usually around 1.1440 up to maybe 1.2500 (ish) and the rear wheels are moved quite a way back as well - I just thought it was the way the car was made as I don't make them myself. Unless you can line all the cars up together in game, it's probably difficult to tell the length differences! The car seems to look good though and textures look great

Yes I think so. Also and this is just my opinion, it seems that on recencent coversions the GP4 cars seem larger wich I prefer as I thought that the originals were too small but that is my opinion. The thing is when you are trying to mimic the stance and accuracey of the individual car it can seem a little awkward in the game but you get used to it.;-)

If you look carefully at the real McLaren MP4-26 (front view), you 'll see that the sidepods are not like a straight "L" but profiled horizontaly and also vertically. By comparing Lez' Macca and the real one, this is exactly how it should look. Just my personal opinion ;-)
