i believe 1.00 is for initial GP4 , 1.02 for 9.6 patched gp4.

and what about performance? I mean, with 1.00 may I go faster (or slower) than 1.02, or is it exactly the same thing?

1.02 mainly fixes a few glitches, not sure it brings anything to performance.
