Tyres for 80's - Question

Anyone could tell me if the tyre shape are the same for the F1 seasons 85, 86, 87, 88, 89 (and 90 )?

hummmm... They all look the same.... What do you think.. ?? Cant find tyres technical specs for each of these seasons..

Yes, they looks the same. I just want to know because the rear tyres, I think they are too large. But looks the same. Thanks again.

I too feel the same with the rear tyres... Maybe they were from 1991 to 1993...



1992 has a big rear tyre and the F1 93 season review has it in the introduction part:

1992 mod have the excellent 1992 tyre shapes made from scratch from alesi_fan.

I'm ask about the 80's tyre shape because I will update the 1986 mod in the future. I think Pedro will do the other mods, so I'm asking this because I will ask pedro to use the same tyre shapes in 1986.

I too have the 86 MOD.. Tyres.. sorry to say.. suck!!

88' ones are not too bad!!

From -85 to -92 they use the same size of the tyre but the rims were different in -85 compare to late -80 and up to -92
Talk to Öggo about it. The set he has is with "cast aluminium" rims and that start to be common in (-86) -87. before that
it was common with split/bolted rims. The wheel center he has (right now) is what could be seen from -88 (maybe -87)
